Bordermount Yorkshire Terriers
My husband and I purchased a male puppy whom we named "Boris" from Terry
back in May 2008. We found Bordermount Yorkies online and drove from
Toronto to Niagara Falls. Terry was very informative over the phone and in
person. She answered all our questions thoroughly and made us feel at home.
We went home with paperwork, blanket with Gracies (Boris' mom) scent,
dog food and some other items. Her home was very clean and organized for
the number of dogs she has. I was pleasantly surprised. The dogs were in
great shape. Happy, well groomed and well mannered. I could not find anything
bad to say about our experience.
We have enjoyed every minute spent with our Boris and a year later we
went back to get our girl "Natasha". Terry explained that these dogs do well in
pairs and packs and she was 100% right. Our only regret is not finding Terry
sooner than we did. We cannot picture our lives without these 2 yorkies. They
truly are a part of our family.

My friend had suggested Terry and Bordermount Yorkies when I told her that
my fiancé and I wanted to get a Yorkie. I e-mailed Terry and right away, I felt
appreciated. She was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable and answered all
my many questions. When we went to visit the pups and put a deposit down, I
was shocked by how many dogs she had and yet, such a clean home.
We met our pup, put down a deposit and received even more information about
the Yorkie breed, and general puppy information. It was on this day that we
actually fell in love with our Shelby rather than a new born pup ( Shelby was 4
months old) and 2 weeks later, we picked her up with the take home package
that Terry so kindly provides (Shelby still has her blankie!). She just turned one
year old and she is in perfect health and her personality is amazing. She is the
perfect addition to our small family. I will definitely recommend Terry and her
puppies to ANYONE wanting a Yorkie.

In March 2008, I began looking up breeders to start the search for my baby. I
e-mailed and spoke on the phone with at least 20 different breeders and was
very disappointed with their lack of thoroughness and willingness to respond to
my questions and concerns. And then I found Terry. She was enthusiastic and
very knowledgeable about the breed and all it had to offer. It was very clear
that she took great pride in the litters she bred.
When I arrived, her house was immaculate. I had the opportunity to sit down
and talk with her about the litter, the mother, and the breed in general. She took
her time to answer my questions and give advice, as this would be the first
puppy I'd raised on my own. All of the dogs were extremely playful and had
great personalities. At one point, I looked down on the floor and saw one puppy
and his brother untying my friend's shoelaces. I started laughing, pointed at the
lil guy, and said "THAT'S my dog!" His name is Gizmo and we've been
inseparable since!
Every single yorkie she owned responded to its own name, had a unique
personality, and was extremely playful. The environment these dogs are brought
into is exceptional. Even though I live in California now, I would never go
anywhere else to add another puppy to my family.
Terry's love for the dogs she breeds extends well beyond giving them to loving
families. For three years, she has been available to respond to any questions or
concerns I have about my baby, Gizmo. She is my first contact when I am
concerned about whether I should take him to the vet. She has saved me
hundreds in vet fees with her knowledge and expertise.
I am so grateful to her for bringing Gizmo into my life. He is an extremely smart
dog with a lovable personality. He is very playful (he could play fetch all day
long), quirky, and courageous like no other. I know that these great
characteristics he possesses are because of Terry's successful breeding
program.

After many phone calls to Canadian Kennel Club members I found Terry, not
exactly next door to me but we clicked on the phone and I decided the drive was
worth it. Upon arriving for my first visit I was surprised to see the adult yorkies as
well as the little ones running around. All the dogs were very friendly and I could
not get over how spotless the rooms were. It was obvious to me that this was a
home and not a kennel, Terry loved her children and was not your typical breeder.
I chose my pup and Terry encouraged me to visit as often as I wanted until he
could go home, I visited from the time he was 3 weeks every week. I was always
welcomed in Terry’s home and with each visit I realized what a good decision I had
made. I watched as the pups grew and the mothers would teach them the ways
of life. Unlike most breeders Terry keeps her pups until they are 10 – 14 weeks
so they have the best start on life without their mom. The importance of this came
to me later when I would see pups 6-8 weeks old afraid of everything, when my
boy was social and had no fear. This also has a great deal to do with the parents
and their personality, something I was lucky enough to observe.
Terry’s yorkies are her family and are therefore well socialized, loved and have no
behaviour problems that I saw. Terry obviously devotes all her time to her yorkies
and to educating her clients. I felt well prepared to bring home Rocky, I had a
booklet prepared by Terry and a starter kit.
Rocky is now 10 months very healthy, very social and well adjusted, my vet, just
loves him and says he is adorable and well proportioned, we do most everything
together.
I would strongly encourage anyone thinking of getting one of these wonderful
yorkies to feel secure that their pup is coming from a good home well loved and a
very clean environment.
~Patricia.

From the moment I contacted Terry, I knew I would find my puppy at
Bordermount Yorkies. I had so many questions, as this was my first Yorkie, Terry
is extremely knowledgeable and answered every single question I had, and then
some.
Her love and devotion for Yorkies was evident when I went to visit my Meeko at
her home. Her home was spotless and every single one of her Yorkies was
happy and obedient. Again, she took the time to sit with me and explain how to
care for my Yorkie.
I have trust and confidence in Terry and now that my Meeko is home, I can rely
on her help and guidance when I’m uncertain of something. I would highly
recommend Terry to anyone looking for a lovable Yorkie, as her care and
patience made my experience happy and memorable.
I am thankful for all Terry has done and continues to do for us. Meeko has only
been home for 2 weeks and I have loved every moment with him. He is curious,
smart and playful, his personality makes me laugh, and he is just a good boy. I
am glad to have found Terry and grateful that Meeko is now a part of my life.

Since we are so far away, you were very nice and pleasant to talk to via e-mail and the
phone. You were very helpful in answering all the questions I had. We are so very pleased
with Dalton. He was simply perfect and looked very happy when we got him. You were very
accommodating in that we met you while you were going on vacation, instead of having to
drive all the way to Niagara ( us in Ottawa ).You provided us with photos and videos and we
fell in love with him before we even got him. Even his name was great. Everyone is very
surprised to hear that name, as it is quite unique and for a little guy, it is actually a big name.
We really liked it and kept it. He has sure grown since we got him. He is actually very
brave and fearless. He climbs and jumps all around just like a cat. Actually, we think he may
be part cat. Just kidding! Take care,
~The Santini Family
We had lost our first Yorkie to a collapsed trachea back in August and were
searching for a breeder that was both, reputable and cared for all of their dogs.
We were fortunate that we came across Bordermount Yorkshire Terriers on the
web and made contact with Terry and reputable breeder. What we were
impressed with is that all her puppies are socialized both, with humans as well as
other dogs. Given that they all have the run of the house, it was surprisingly clean.
Keeping in mind that all dogs have little accidents.
~Tony and Adele

I want everyone to know that Terry Grenzberg is the best Yorkie Breeder
ever. I have gotten three wonderful Yorkshire Terriers from Terry. Her house
is clean the dogs are happy and seem to be in a stress free environment. She
honors all of her statements on her dogs’ health guarantee. She not only
expects you to ask questions, but she will have good questions for you as
well. I felt like part of her family. She sends all her dogs out into the world with
food, a blanket a brush, and toys I would never go to another breeder for a
Yorkie. We love our Yorkies and Terry too.
~Nancy, Stellarton, NS Canada

I have bought two Yorkies from Terry. "Tasha" will be eight years
old next spring, and "Sammy" just turned 6. All of Terry's Yorkies
are members of the household and run free in her house.
Terry has her Yorkies, young and old, running around so you can just
imagine how chaotic it seemed to me the first time I was there. It
was easy to see that all of her dogs were very healthy, happy and
well loved.
I am sure Terry doesn't remember this, but at 6 weeks old, she
nick-named Sammy "putt-putt". Even at that young age, he
responded to her call and all of these years later, we still use his
nick-name.
My dogs are spirited, intelligent, amusing and outspoken. They are
full of personality that just increases with age. They are fearless and
have no idea how small they really are. We live downtown Toronto
where there are rats in the back alleys. Sammy's most favourite thing
is to go "rat hunting". This just tells me that his genes are not that far
removed from the original ratters that the yorkies were bred for.
Tasha on the other hand could care less about rats.Tasha is a bit of
a diva...ok, allot of a diva who would rather not walk on wet grass,
stones, wood chips. She hates the rain and wind and would much
prefer to ride with me on my scooter. She just makes me laugh.
There have been times where people have stopped and got out of
their cars, or have crossed the street, just to see my dogs.
Over the years, Terry has always made me feel comfortable calling
her for advice. I have sent her pictures of my two. I refer to her as
my dog's "biological" mother.
I love them to death and would have more if I could. I would never
hesitate to get another Bordermount Yorkies.
~Jane, Toronto

I had looked for a responsible breeder and a puppy for at least 2 years before
Marley Bobarino (now at 4.5 lbs) picked us out when we visited Terry's home
last year. Terry had all her family members there, at least the four-legged ones,
and they all greeted us with a symphony of hellos until we sat down on the sofa.
All of her Yorkies looked groomed, healthy, happy and are absolutely gorgeous
with the cutest faces and personalities I have ever seen.
We liked that they were active around the house and that mom, dad, and even
grandma were close to the puppies. Terry's home looked well kept and most
importantly to us was; the Yorkies, the cat, and the Bischon that probably
believe it's a Yorkie, were interacting well with each other socially. What
impressed us the most was that she knew each puppy's unique characteristics.
She knew that Marley loves to get his tummy rubbed and that he has a sweet
and spunky personality, which is quit true to his characteristics now.
The most important thing about Terry is her ability to donate her time with
any question regarding Marley - at any age. We call her and she responds like
Marley is still her own. Her passion of the breed is showcased in her knowledge,
experience and devotion to her family."
~Lex, Toronto

I am the proud owner of a Bordermount Yorkshire Terrier. My Remington (Remi)
aka Ming-Ming came from a loving, caring environment where he was socialized
with numerous Yorkshire Terriers of different sizes and ages. The owner (Terry)
believes in keeping the puppies and adults all out in the open where they can play
and learn together. They are constantly overseen. The puppies become socialized
with other dogs and people due to these living conditions. I was encouraged to drop
by anytime to watch my little one grow until he was able to come home with me.
Bordermount is very informative and supportive. You will receive an information
package and needed items upon the puppies departure. The puppies are identified
with a microchip and have their first shots. If at anytime you have questions or
concerns regarding your new puppy you can call or drop in for advice or just a visit.
Bordemount is very helpful and supportive. I would recommend and encourage
anyone interested in owning a Yorkshire Terrier to check out Bordermount. I am
very happy I did.
~Glenda

My veterinarian recommended we call Terry to find out more about Yorkies. Terry
welcomed us into her home and spent time with us discussing the breed and most
importantly put absolutely no pressure on us to buy, or to make a quick decision. She
encouraged us to do our research and to take our time, which was quite refreshing.
After a few visits we decided to buy a small boy and name him Oliver. Terry kept
us up to date on the pups while we waited for him to be old enough to take home. When
we took him home, we left the house with an entire folder of information, which was
very helpful. Oliver is a healthy and happy puppy, and our family would not be the same
without him! To this day, Terry has been approachable and kind, and her love of the
breed shines through.
~ Laura and family

We adopted two Yorkies from Terry. First, there was Oliver (a rescue) and then
there was Dalton, aka Mr.Wiggles (4 years old). The two of them simply love each
other. We drove 2 and a half hours, twice...to adopt from Terry.
It is very obvious Terry loves her dogs and her job. We were well informed and I was
confident we were taking home the right dog for us and our family, again, thanks to
Terry.
I have called on numerous occasions for advice. She would hand it out freely and
happily. I would not hesitate to call her anytime!
We have but good things to say about her home, her business, and her ability to keep
it all under control.
I hope she stays in the business for a while yet... Cause when the time comes, I will
want another Yorkie from Terry!
~Lise and Paul

My love for the Yorkies began in December 2008, when after
many researches throughout the Internet for a hypoallergenic
dog (daughter allergic) I found Bordermount Yorkies. A quick
call and my daughter and I were there the next day. We
knocked at the door and I was surprised to see them all at
once, saying hello, in their own way.
I expected them to be on display, like at the pet store, but
no, they have the freedom of the house, playing and
interacting like kids. We met Terry and after talking with her
for awhile, I can tell you that she knows a lot about Yorkies
and cares for them very much. So we could not leave without
one. That's how little "Lola" came to our Family she is a
wonderful dog and we love her very much.
A year later my parents were celebrating their 50th wedding
anniversary. So I called Terry, we met again and got Chyna
(one of her older girls) as a present for my parents. (She
lives happily in Quebec). Then it was time for Lola to have a
sister. In January 2010, Ginger was born and became the
newest member of our family. Our Yorkies are beautiful,
intelligent, playful and affectionate and each with their own
personality. They are the best companions. So 3 dogs later, I
can say that Terry is a reputable breeder with years of
experience. These wonderful Yorkies are worth every penny
you spend, life would not be the same without them, thank
you Terry for sharing your passion with me.
~Lilie, A Yorkie Lover

I am so happy that I found Terry in my search for a good
breeder.
I don’t know if many people understand the importance
and value of such a thing.
Sometimes you just have to go a little out of the way to
find exactly what suits you and that happened here.
When you find someone like Terry, you stick to her.
Her home is unbelievably organized and clean, considering the
dogs live on and around her.
It was like I had just met a long lost cousin because she
welcomed me so warmly into her home.
The dogs greet you at the door and then find a comfy
spot on your lap, shoulder, chest or head ( I have to admit this
was a little bit of heaven for me ).
What I loved is that each dog has such a defined
personality, a wonderful trait in Yorkies.
Beautiful, to the point of stunning, well socialized adult dogs
and that bleeds over to the pups.
I picked up Tufty, looked into his eyes and said, yep he’s
mine, there’s a bit of attitude there.
Tufty walked into my home with no fear and was at peace
immediately.
He’s smart as a whip, a cheeky little bugger with a
personality that goes for miles and an absolute joy to me.
Terry has a Yorkie encyclopedia in her head, she’s
available to you for even what you would perceive as a silly
question.
There at the drop of a hat to help with your queries or
concerns.
When I took Tufty to the vet for his first puppy checkup
she told me “that is one very healthy, well fed puppy”.
Words a furbaby’s mummy loves to hear.
I am so grateful Terry found her calling and if there are
any other dogs in my future, they will most certainly be coming
from her home.
Terry loves her dogs, takes great strides in assuring they
are healthy, happy and well socialized, they come when called
and she even sings them songs.
The love and respect is obviously returned by the dogs.
I’m very glad you have become a part of my life.
p.s. her cheesecake is to die for...
Sandra McLean
